Quant Researcher
We are searching for a Quant Researcher to help us modernize how energy trading gets done. Tilde is a hyper-modern team — we use AI tools and workflows to lift like a much larger one, and we’re looking for someone with the technical depth and drive to help shape what we build across European power markets.
About the role
You will be joining a team with a state-of-the-art trading engine and systems already live in production. From there, you will work closely with us to research, prototype, and productionize quantitative trading strategies — a big part of what we do. We expect you to be a strong collaborator and a great self-starter.
We often describe what we do as building a race car. The core work is strategy and modeling, but keeping the car on track also means data collection, tooling, and DevOps — and that's part of the role too.
What you'll do
- Research and develop quantitative trading strategies for intraday and day-ahead power markets
- Build predictive models using statistical methods and machine learning
- Analyze large time-series datasets and extract signal from noise
Who you are
- Strong quantitative background -- MSc or PhD in STEM or Computer Science
- Proficient in Python and the scientific stack
- Strong foundation in machine learning
- Curious, rigorous, and comfortable moving between research and engineering
- Strong interest in AI tools is a plus
- Experience in energy markets is a plus, but not required
What we offer
- Market-leading bonus structure tailored for people who want to build something from the ground up
- Equity opportunity given a consistent, strong track record at the firm
- Direct exposure to live trading and real market impact
- A small, collaborative team that values happy, engaged teammates as much as strong performance
- The chance to shape the research culture from the ground up
- Modern office in Greater Copenhagen

AI Engineer
We are looking for an AI Engineer to help us bring modern AI tools and workflows deeper into how we research, trade, and operate — so a small team can lift like a much larger one.
About the role
Our trading engine is already live in production. What comes next — making it smarter, faster, and more autonomous — is where you come in. You'll design, build, and own the systems behind it end-to-end: from the data pipelines that feed our strategies, to the execution logic that runs them, to the tooling that keeps everything sharp.
There's no front office / back office split at Tilde Energy Trading. This role sits at the core of what we do — same visibility, same ownership, same stake in the outcome as anyone else on the team.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain production trading systems that run 24/7
- Collaborate closely with researchers to productionize models and strategies
- Own components end-to-end -- from architecture to deployment to operation
- Improve reliability, observability, and performance across the stack
Who you are
- Strong software engineering background -- MSc in Computer Science or STEM
- Proficient in Python; familiarity with production systems, testing, and distributed architectures
- Hands-on across the modern production stack -- infrastructure-as-code, containers, CI/CD, and time-series data
- Deep fluency with modern AI tools and workflows
- Care deeply about code quality, observability, and operational excellence
- Experience in financial or energy markets is a plus, but not required
What we offer
- Market-leading bonus structure tailored for people who want to build something from the ground up
- Equity opportunity given a consistent, strong track record at the firm
- Direct exposure to live trading and real market impact
- A small, collaborative team that values happy, engaged teammates as much as strong performance
- Modern office in Greater Copenhagen
